The 2024 Toyota Camry did not receive any significant changes, carrying over what made the 2023 Toyota Camry so successful. The Camry is fuel-efficient with an EPA-estimated max of 32 mpg combined, matching the rival Honda Accord. Fuel economy figures are based on EPA estimates for when vehicle sold as new. Fuel economy may vary for reasons like driving conditions and vehicle history. Unless specified, figures are for vehicles equipped with an automatic transmission. See fueleconomy.gov. It also comes with a lot of advanced driver aids, including adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, and lane-keeping assist.
Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ are standard features and a wireless charging pad can be found on some models. Even without the charging pad, there are plenty of places to plug in your phone.
The Camry's cargo space is below average compared to other midsize sedans. It offers 15.1 cubic feet of space in the trunk, falling behind the Honda Accord (16.7 cubic feet) and Kia K5 (16 cubic feet). The interior still feels reasonably roomy and the Camry is easy to drive. You'll experience more road and wind noise than usual in the Camry, but it remains a comfortable and competent commuter car.
What We Like:
Fuel economy: The Camry's EPA-estimated max of 32 mpg in combined driving is solid for a midsize sedan and it's even better on the highway. The EPA estimates the most efficient Camry delivers 39 mpg during highway driving.
Tech: The Camry comes with a handful of driver aids as standard features, including adaptive cruise control and automatic emergency braking. Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ are also standard features.
Interior: The Camry's interior is built well and is easy to get in and out of. There are also a lot of places to store small items, like cell phones and handbags. There is plenty of space for both front and rear passengers.
Outside noise: The Camry can be quite noisy, especially on the highway. A lot of engine, wind, and road noise finds its way into the cabin, and that slightly spoils what's otherwise a comfortable driving experience.
